Melania Galiano

teacher, dancer and choreographer

Born in Madrid and living in Murillo de Gállego since 2008.

Melania Galiano, in addition to her solid training in oriental and contemporary dance, has been dedicated to classical and traditional dances since her first trip to India where she specialized in Odissi dance.

With the practice of yoga, she has developed a connection and awareness of body and mind that allows her to explore the efficiency of movement, focusing on alignment and breathing techniques.

She has been very fortunate to be taught by the country's great masters in dance Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Yoga (AYUSH - QCI) TTC1-TTC2 and continues to deepen her study of Indian dances in relation to the practice of yoga, as well as to expand her training with the Feldenkrais method and deepen her knowledge of herself and others by studying Vedanta philosophy.

As a choreographer, she directs and participates in various shows with her own dance company and in collaboration with other artists, developing performances that stand out for their creativity and poetry.

With regard to teaching, she learned the right way to transmit her knowledge and motivate each student to achieve his goals and find harmony between the body and mind/body language, focusing on internal and external movements to lead him to an experience of freedom.

She currently combines teaching and performance with trips to India, where she takes part in projects dedicated to training and performing arts.
